Who we are

That’s What He Said sells screen-printed shirts, made to order and printed by hand. Questions go to hello@thatswhathesaid.shop.

Orders and payment

Checkout runs through Shopify. Your order is confirmed when Shopify sends the confirmation email, not before. Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

We can cancel an order and refund it in full if we cannot print it, if the address is wrong, or if we suspect fraud.

Custom shirts

A custom shirt is printed exactly as you typed it, spelling included. Read it twice. Custom prints are made for you and cannot be returned or exchanged unless the print is defective.

We refuse text that is hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that uses a name, brand or artwork you do not have the rights to. If we refuse a line we refund it in full.

By ordering a custom shirt you confirm you have the right to use the words on it and you give us permission to print them for you. You keep whatever rights you had in your own words. You do not get any rights in our designs, our name or our kiss.

Shipping

Everything is printed to order in small runs. Allow three to five business days for printing, then the carrier's transit time. Shipping costs and options show at checkout.

Returns and exchanges

Shirts from the line can be exchanged within 30 days of delivery if they are unworn, unwashed and in their original condition. Email us first and we will send instructions. Return shipping is on you unless we made a mistake.

If a print is defective or we sent the wrong item, tell us within 14 days with a photo and we will replace it or refund it, our choice, at no cost to you.

Our designs

The phrases, the prints, the wordmark and the kiss are ours. You can wear them, photograph them and post them. You cannot reproduce them, print them on other goods or sell them.

What we are not responsible for

We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by carriers, customs, wrong addresses, or anything outside our control. Our total liability for any order is the amount you paid for it.

Colours on screen and colours on cotton differ a little. Garment-dyed shirts vary slightly from batch to batch. That is the point of them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We can update these terms at any time. The version on this page when you order is the one that applies to that order.
